- Classic and elegant hinged septum ring available in various colours and diameters. Designed in London, and handmade with love.This septum ring is made from surgical steel, making it fit for use in any piercing- the ear lobe, cartilage, nose and septum! You can use this piercing absolutely anywhere- in the nose, ear or any other body part where you can use a hinged septum ring. The top section of this ring opens and locks with a click sound- which is why it is called a "hinged" septum ring.
- MATERIAL: Surgical Steel.
- SIZE: Width: 1.2mm with a sizing option for Diameter: 8mm or 10mm. Please refer to the ball closure ring in the sizing details image at the end to see what the "width" and "internal diameter" on a piercing means. What is "Septum"? The septum is the thin cartilage on the inside of the nose that separates the nostrils. If possible, the piercing should be made through the tissue below the septum as the cartilage can be very tough. The advised first change after piercing is 6 weeks and healing time is around 2 - 3 months. What is "Surgical Steel"? One of the most commonly used materials in piercings, as it is durable, lightweight, easy to clean, rust resistant and least likely to cause an allergic reaction. Surgical steel is made up of niobium and titanium.
